Main Dining Rooms & Specialty Dining Venues: As a courtesy to all guests, Celebrity Cruises fashioned a dress code appropriate to each venue and time of day. The chefs prepare some of the best meals at sea and they are better enjoyed without T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, tank tops, baseball caps, and pool wear. Swimwear and bare feet are appropriate for the pool areas only. Celebrity Cruises reserves the evening hours for casual and smart attire, leaving shirts and flip flops as perfect day wear

Alcohol & Smoking

Alcohol Age Restrictions

Must be age 21 or over to possess and/or drink alcoholic beverages on board and at cruise line private destinations

Bringing Alcohol Aboard

Local spirits make great souvenirs—the staff will collect alcoholic purchases on the gangway and deliver to your stateroom on the last day of the cruise

Smoking Policy

Celebrity ships are non-smoking except in designated areas

Must be age 18 or older to purchase, possess, or use tobacco on board

Never throw smoking materials overboard, even if you are certain they are extinguished

Violations result in a $250 cleaning fee charged to the guest’s stateroom account

Health & Safety

Muster Stations

Indicated on your SeaPass card and inside your stateroom door

Familiarize yourself with the route to your Muster Station

Once there, you will be guided to a lifeboat, if necessary

Lifeboat Drills

Learn the emergency procedures and locations of your Muster Station and Lifeboat Station

Children’s Wristbands

Indicates Muster Station ID; required on children ages 3 to 11 for the duration of the cruise

Children in Care of Celebrity Cruises

If your child(ren) is in a Youth Program during an emergency, staff will escort your child(ren) directly to your Muster Station

Stand at the front of your Muster Station and await their arrival

Do not go to the Fun Factory or search the ship

Life Jackets

Please ensure your stateroom contains one life jacket per adult

If traveling with children, ask your Stateroom Attendant for child/infant life jackets, or additional adult life jackets, if necessary

Life jackets may be removed from your stateroom only during lifeboat drills or in the event of an emergency

Ship Emergencies

The ship’s horn will sound 7 short blasts followed by a long blast

If in your stateroom, put on warm clothing and a life jacket, gather any medication, and proceed to designated Muster Station

If primary exit route is blocked, use the alternate route

From all other locations, proceed directly to your Muster Station where a life jacket will be provided

Handwashing & Wellness

Wash hands frequently

Use soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds, especially after the restroom, or before eating or handling food

Thorough, frequent handwashing is the best way to prevent contagious illnesses like gastrointestinal viruses, colds, and flu

Onboard Medical Services

Medical Center is located on Deck 2 (Solstice and Edge class) and on Deck 1 (Millennium class)

Emergencies: From any phone on ship, press EMERGENCY or dial 911

Non-emergencies: Doctor available during office hours

Check the Celebrity Cruises app or Celebrity Today for hours

All medical services are subject to customary fees

Becoming Ill During Cruise: Please notify the ship’s medical staff immediately if you or someone you know of has symptoms of gastrointestinal illness

Illness Prior To Cruise: Please notify the ship’s medical staff as soon as you board if you or someone you know of had symptoms of gastrointestinal illness

Failure to immediately report greatly increases likelihood it will spread, and is a violation of the Guest Conduct Policy

Safety For Celebrity Launches

Launch boats take guests ashore when ship can’t dock at port

Use caution when boarding or exiting a launch boat

Use the handrails

Take extra care when stepping between the ship and launch boat

Avoid placing your hands on the upper sides of the launch boat

Guests with physical challenges, including in wheelchairs, may be limited or prohibited from boarding a launch boat due to local weather or sea conditions

Hammock Safety

Capacity: 2 people or 330 pound per hammock

If your children are there, you should be too

Climb into the hammock, not onto the structure

Sit? Yes; Recline? Yes; Stand? No

If the hammock is rocking, please stop before getting out

Reporting Injuries & Unsafe Behavior

Safety and security is everyone’s responsibility

Should you become aware of someone being injured, or of unsafe or possibly illegal behavior, immediately dial 911 on any ship phone, or call or go to Guest Relations

Prohibited Behavior

Reserving pool, deck, or theater chairs

Topless sunbathing, except on select itineraries in designated areas

Loud music

Surfboards in the pool areas

Diving in any pools

Roller blades, roller skates, skateboards, scooters, bicycles, and similar items

Wheeled mobility aids related to special needs are allowed and must be approved by ship’s medical staff

Abusive Behavior

Verbally abusive or offensive language directed toward anyone is not permitted

Inappropriate or abusive behavior including uninvited physical contact, solicitation, harassment, vandalism, theft, violence, use of fake or false identification, underage drinking, providing alcohol to those under age 21, possession of illegal substances or items, or any other illegal or offensive conduct is not permitted

Fire Safety

Items left on your stateroom veranda are considered a fire hazard. Please refrain from leaving these items on your balcony

A match, cigarette, or cigar butt can blow back on deck and create a fire hazard. Please refrain from throwing smoking materials overboard, including cigarettes, even if you are certain they are extinguished. Parents are cautioned not to leave matches or lighters where children can reach them.

In consideration of your fellow guests and in the interest of fire safety, please only smoke in designated areas. When smoking, ensure that all matches, cigarettes, and cigars are completely extinguished. Never leave smoking materials unattended.

To help keep your room air-conditioned and protect your stateroom in the unlikely event of a fire please keep your stateroom veranda partition closed when leaving your stateroom

Please refrain from removing furniture from your stateroom to your veranda

In the event of a fire or any type of emergency dial 911 or activate the nearest manual call point

Every stateroom is fitted with a water mist sprinkler system. This is a fire extinguishing means and should not be obstructed or interfered with. (i.e., don’t hang clothes from it)

An open flame presents a significant fire hazard, whether it is attended or not. No candles may be used in your stateroom or on your veranda

Be sure to unplug all personal appliances before leaving your stateroom

Items that generate heat or open flames are prohibited i.e. heating pads, irons, hotplates, candles, incense

EXCEPTIONS: Curling irons, hair straighteners, matches, and normal lighters

Torch lighters or novelty lighters that look like guns are prohibited

Crew Interactions

Crew members are prohibited from physical relationships with guests

Crew members don’t socialize with guests beyond professional duties

Crew members should not be in staterooms except for shipboard duties

Guests are expected to respect these policies

Guests are not permitted in any restricted or crew area of the ship, including crew staterooms and corridors

Illegal drugs

Anything that might interfere with the safe operation of the ship or a safe environment for guests and crew

Illegal Drug Policy

Illegal drugs or substances are not allowed on board

Weapons Policy

Weapons, explosives, or other items that present a risk of harm to persons or property are not permitted on board

Traveling Internationally

Travel with others, stay in well-populated tourist areas, and remain aware of your surroundings at all times

Celebrity Cruises’ security team is trained to involve proper agencies should a situation require law enforcement

All crimes are reported to law enforcement officials, and Celebrity Cruises fully supports their investigations

Government Reporting Requirements

Cruise lines are legally required to report onboard felonies and missing US nationals

Incidents must be reported to the FBI by phone ASAP, to the US Department of Homeland Security electronically, and to the USCG in writing

Applies while this ship is in US waters, on the high seas, or in foreign waters if the victim or perpetrator is a US national

The FBI, as well as other nations, may also assert jurisdiction


Failure to act in accordance with this policy may result in:

Intervention by security, other management personnel, or law enforcement

Removal of certain onboard privileges, being detained, quarantined, or confined in a stateroom or holding cell

Confiscation of illegal, contraband, or prohibited items (subject to release to law enforcement authorities)

Denial of boarding on the current or any future Celebrity Cruises voyage

Reporting to government and law enforcement authorities

Removal from ship at next port of call (guest is responsible for the cost of accommodations and transportation home)
